Not as good as 2, about as good as 1 but for opposite reasons. 1 had great heroes and a crappy villian, this one has great villians and a crappy hero (with a My Chemical Romance haircut...). Topher Grace is surprisingly good as Venom. Hobgoblin works a hell of a lot better than Green Goblin ever did. Thomas Haden Church is great as Sandman and the effects for him are damn near mindblowing--some of the coolest-to-look-at effects I've seen in a movie since... well... Darth Zoidberg and his crew in Pirates. 5 out of 10.
